I would love to title this as “Foodscapades” and whatnot but that is so cliché wtf. I have maybe until the end of this post to think of a title, or maybe just not have one wtf.
I don’t know when it started but sometime ago, just a few years back, I came to love food. I know, I know, you ask “what imbecile person doesn’t love food?!” It’s not that I don’t love it, its just that I only eat what I know la and that now I know what I like and dislike.
Ever since Mark and I got back together, we have been trying on so many different places to eat.
Yvan Navy - located at 1864 Honradez St., Sampaloc, Manila

Sometimes, the place is good to eat and some other times, it sucks. Be it with quality of food or quality of service. It is the nearest burger place from home that is not burger machine or minute burger wtf. People even from far away places (I think) go to this place so when you go there expect long lines with no tables to eat wtf.
Some other times, when luck has decided to be with you…

You will get an all-juicy beef burger with relish and a table. It’s all in the luck, it’s all in the luck (I just had to say it twice).
Octoboy - Tomas Morato Cor Sct. De Guia, Quezon City
Restaurant specializing in anything Japanese. I love anything Japanese food! Just not sashimi (I don’t know why also! wtf). We have tried their…

Takoyaki! Which is soooooo good! It is the authentic one! Has real tako legs inside! I’ve tried so many different takoyaki in my entire life, even fake ones but this one really made me tear-up wtf. I know it’s dramatic but it will be worth your tears! The closest thing to Japan!
We also tried Okonomiyaki!

It is good but the kimchi quite killed the authenticity. It’s such a bad idea to have both takoyaki and okonomiyaki simultaneously since I think both are on the same family? Just do not order both when you go there lol.
Yabu: House of Katsu - Everywhere lol
It all starts with…

yes you grind em’ seeds. It’s one important key to enjoying your katsu. I like my sauce thick and with texture so I don’t grind them so fine. Some other times I just don’t like the trouble of grinding them lol.
I love karē raisu so much I just cannot not order when available in a Japanese restaurant.

This is my Rosu Katsu Curry Set. Comes with miso soup, pickled veggies, cabbage, sliced fruit, glorious curry and my rosu tonkatsu! Oh did I mention that it comes with unlimited rice and unlimited cabbage, maybe unlimited miso soup? If that isn’t a win-win situation, I don’t even know what is. NOW I’M CRAVING WTF!
Tim Ho Wan - located at the Ground Floor of SM Megamall Fashion Hall. Trust me, you’ll find this place immediately lol.
You just need to order one thing at this place! And it’s the world famous 1 michelin star baked pork buns!

Soft crumbly slightly sweet crust with delectable, delectable filling inside! It even makes my mouth water now wtf. I would line up again even if it takes me the whole day because it’s all worth it!
I also recommend the Vermicelli Roll stuffed with Pig’s liver. Take that from me who never eat liver except liver spread lolol.
Cafe Noriter - Taft Ave., Manila. (slightly a bit hard to find lol)

It was recommended by an acquaintance and immediately I asked Mark if we could try the place. It was a Korean-inspired cafe, quirky and cute! It was the only place I’ve been to that allows vandalism! Such cute marketing strategy!

Mark’s Macchiato! Too cute or what?!

Our S'mores cake and my Iced Cafe Macchiato! I’m not a fan of sweet things so whenever I’m having one, I’ll try to balance it with anything bitter. My macchiato is too sweet tho! Too much sweetness makes me cringe wtf.
On our second try, he ordered Cafe Americano (not pictured wtf) and mine was Cafe Latte and their famous Oreo Cheesecake.

It is the perfect combination.
Cafe Noriter is a nice place to relax from the hassles of life. Not too crowded like Starbucks and definitely has the calming cafe feel to it!
Yutaka Izakaya - Aurora Blvd (near Gregorio Araneta Ave), Quezon City
One of the most authentic Japanese restaurants you’ll find here in Manila! They even serve Uni Sushi tho I didn’t get to try it. We’ll come back for it next time tho!

This Okonomiyaki is the real deal! Soft, moist, chunky and full of flavor!

Ramen Bar - located at Robinsons Magnolia, Quezon City
Another Japanese restaurant to try! They specialize in Ramen obviously but I did not order ramen wtf. But I did order their seasonal item…

Cheesy Gyoza! Tho not the traditional pan-fried one, these deep-fried goodness is heavenly! Surely a breath of fresh air from the traditional one! It was superb!

Anything Ebi Tempura is good!

These Kakuni Buns are new to me but really good nonetheless! The spicy one are really spicy tho!
Army Navy Burrito

Bro Sizzling Haus Sisig (This is THE bomb)

Zarks Jawbreaker

Mochiko

Oh God the strawberry cheesecake one is to die-for!
We still have so many places to try like Little Tokyo, Hokkaido Ramen Santouka, Crazy Katsu, etc. and that will be on my next blog post!
Of course when all-else fails for you…
